The sun will come out..tomorrow

This blog post was going to be about the fun we are having with the warmer weather..but things have a way of changing. The fun photos are coming..but today we spend 5 hours at the emergency veterinarian with Dana. She woke with a swollen leg and stopped eating. X-rays showed no bone involvement (whew) and blood work didn't hint at an infection. She had lost 3 pounds in 6 days. The vet said 'I dont' know what it is but I don't like it' ..neither do we. So now, we are treating her with antibiotics for 24-48 hours. If it isnt' better in that time, we will assume cancer and proceed from there. Fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day.

But yesterday..was a better day and I took a lot of photos with my new 7D. (and I sold my Rebel XTi..yeah for Craigslist). I am still getting used to the insane amount of buttons and learning how to change settings..so some photos need some work.

This was 5 days ago..obviously Dana's elbow was not a grapefruit then.
As she lays on her bed drooling and see pink butterflies (morphine)..I hope she is dreaming of playing again.
Cali had some 'fetch' time...Jason comes out the door and Cali knows what that means!he barricades the other staircase so she can't fetch once and inside. Notice Cali follows him in case he throws her toyGame on (toy is in upper right of photo)

Cali is photogenic..
I will update with Dana's progress.

I have a friend who had a similar situation with her grey's leg. It happened twice and both times meds help it go away. Here's hoping you have similar luck.

How scary! Fingers crossed that it turns out to be something minor and treatable!

Those photos are fantastic!

i hope you get good news fast. i don't like that you're waiting.

i don't think you need to learn much with that camera. you seem to take great photos with it already. of course, cali does make all cameras look good.

Toes and tails are all crossed here for Missy D to get better. I hate this waiting. Don't they know all of the greyhound universe is waiting on a freaking answer.
