Puppies...i'm referring to puppies. Just clearing that up first. ;-)
Cora celebrates her 9th birthday today! I think she's enjoying her new life on my couch. She is very snuggly, love to play and fits in so well. She even learned to enjoy a good bully stick.
She has Dana's ears for sure.
She's pretty awesome.
We have gained a boarder with 2 legs who brought a 4 month old puppy. My friend Martha will be staying with us a few weeks and she brought Pax. Pax and Roxi have become besties.
We had a few inches of snow last Monday that stuck around for a few hours.
Pax is all ears and legs.
She's very cute. (and it's a good thing she is..puppies aren't always easy)
I got a new lens for my birthday and have been quite happy with it.
Roxi and Lizzie still play a lot as well. Pax will join in sometimes but the greyhounds still scare her a little (even muzzled).
I had to laugh at this photo. While not a great photo, it certainly shows the pack mentality. cody is relaxed and staring at me waiting for a cookie. Lizzie is on high alert. Cora is staring a me. And Roxi has a toy.
Heading out of town next week for my 40th birthday adventure. Stay tuned.
This will mainly be a place to ramble about our greyhound adventures and fosters. We occasionally do non-greyhound things as well.

Mama dog makes 4
We had a call from the adoption group recently that a kennel was releasing a few brood dogs and one held a special place in their heart. So we agreed to bring her up and I said we'd "foster" her.
She came from the race kennel that we actually toured while at the track in Birmingham which was a neat link as well.
Her race name is CTW Powder Base. She raced until she was 3 1/2 and then had 4 litters (25) of pups. The most recent just started racing but her first litter still has some very successful racers!
She arrived and moved right in to my heart.
So she's here to stay.
And I couldn't think of a more fitting name than the Lady of Grantham herself, Cora. I am a big Downton Abbey fan so this just seems to fit.
So meet our newest (and last for a while) addition: Cora
She reminds me of Dana a lot..not in her personality so much but in her mannerisms and stances.
She will be 9 on February 20th
She found the couch quickly and loves her spot.
She's super sweet, loving and does not act 9 (she currently chasing Roxi around the house with a stuffie). I've been talking to her owner/trainer via email and hopefully JRG can get her babies as they retire to adopt out. And I've asked for some photos of her with her babies.
