The weather has improved AND Rainy found a forever home!!!!
She had been accepted by everyone and fit in well..but a great couple came long and she now has a new best friend, DixieGood luck, Rainy..I am very glad I was able to give you a Happy ever after!
And with the improving weather, we have been playing a lot outside. Cali changes the 'toy of choice' often.Henry joins in the fun
Then Daddy plays a bit of tease with her..but don't worry..he threw it plenty for her to fetch..
"do you want it?"But the tart did well recently. Two years ago, we pass the Delta Society's therapy dog evaluation test one point shy of perfect. The test involves 20+ 'tests' that she has to pass (missing more than 2 is overall failure), with a 1 (good) or 2 (perfect). We had to do the re-evaluation this month to certify again..and she passed with a perfect score. As Nerice said "Overachiever". I am proud of the little tart though..so we have a new ID badge photo
Come out to the Pet Expo if you are in the Richmond area this weekend! Lots of fun! James River Greyhounds and Houndstown will have a booth!

Glad I was able to help in finding Rainy her forever home. I hear she is doing really great. :)
I love a happy ending! It is always bittersweet when fosters get their forever homes. You wait for months (sometimes) hoping the right family comes along, then when they do, it is kind of sad. But...then there are others who can't go fast enough!!!
Great pictures!
I salute you for passing the test! I've procrastinated about taking the test, but I need to do it soon. I just want to say I passed it. I've been thinking of going with Delta this time, but I'm not too keen on their new "no raw feeding" rule. I don't feed raw, but I think it's rather high-handed to dictate to people about how to feed their dogs. Gah! Where did all that come from?
I'm so glad Rainy found a perfect home! Hopefully she has sunny days ahead!
Congratulations to Rainy and Cali.
I had a good time showing Brooke the videos I made of the floppy Cali. I always thought she pranced over to the boys to get lap action. I was so wrong. I can't imagine a dog with that disposition to not be perfect for therapy.
I'm also impressed with her thighs in that photo where she's coming over the hill. Who'd think that such a powerful, playful hound would be so floppy later. Ah, but she is a greyhound. Silly me.
Congrats Cali on the perfect score. Stanley and Jaime only have the GED of Therapy dogs :)
I love that pic of Rainy. I'm so glad she has a new friend and family. Seriously, there was never any doubt she would pass her test. We do TDI, not Delta because of the raw feeding rule. There's far more germs on people at these places than dogs.
I'm glad Rainy found a nice home! Congratulations on passing the Delta test. That's great!
