Spending time

Henry seems to be doing OK on the pain meds. He has his good days and bad.  On his bad days, we make sure he is as comfortable as possible.  Sometimes this means rearranging the pillows to give him the ultimate comfort.
On his good days, we try to spend time outside.  Lately, it has either been 100F plus or there have been terrible storms causing power outages and tree damage. So on the rare days we can go outside, we try to enjoy it.
Henry and Dana have a moment..
Jason left for Charlotte to continue helping care for his mother but before he left he was able to let Cali romp around and remind us not everyone in our house is ailing.
She even had time to wink at us as she went by..
And for those of you with only greyhounds..you are missing out on the joy of an undercoat.  I spent an hour brushing Shiloh and got about 5 pounds of undercoat off of her.  And I am betting I could do it again right now.
We have Petey for a bit..he has definitely started to be more 'dog-like' and less puppy like..which is a good thing.
"Lady...will you get that thing out of my face?"
And I was lucky enough to be able to help with a GUR from Florida to NY recently.  Two dogs with broken hocks were heading to their forever home.  I did the Richmond to Fredericksburg leg.  I hope the rest of their journey went well.

I'm so glad Henry is hanging in there and doing well for the most part. I've thought of him many times.

OMG! Its so hot here in GA too. I don't think we even hit 100 degrees last year... and its just now July. I hope Henry has some great outside days ahead.

Hang in there, Henry.

So glad to see an update about Henry. I check every day to see how he is. It has been scorching here too. I saw those pictures of the broken leg dogs on facebook. Glad you were able to help out and get them on their way to retirement! Hang in there Henry!

Hang in there Henry. Thinking of Jason while he is in Richmond. If Shiloh had 5 lbs, I'm sure Parker could produce 3 lbs :)

Stay comfortable, Henry! And keep them fluffing those pillows for you.

I hear you on the dog hair. I don't want to know how much Morgan and Kuster's would weigh!

I hope things go well in Richmond for Jason.

Hoping for more good days with good weather. I'm glad that he gets some alone time with his classy lady friend while Cali galavants around the yard.

If Jason wasn't being such a good son to his mom, I'd try to get you to threaten to spin him a nice beanie with that undercoat. I think when you get that much you should name it.

I am sorry to hear about Henry. Yes even a cat can feel bad for a sick dog. I hope he feels better soon.
