Whistler's Hank

I am glad everyone likes my new post site! It is a lot easier to use as well. This week we kept Jack until he went to his new home. He definitely seemed to 'get bored' easily and get in to things. With the help of Dante, they managed to seek and destroy a box of treats (that Jack's previous mom had sent with him) as well as mangling and destroying my sister's dogs' Christmas present. It was a air tight container from Einstein's bagels filled with the dried bagel dog treats. From this can tell that Dante ate the majority of the bagels.
He was in pain that night!!!

On Friday, Jack went to his new home and Kristen and Debbie came down to do the adoption for Lulu! She is really happy there. I would show you a picture of her with her new family...but we totally forgot to take one. But also on Friday, Whistler's Hank came to my house. He is a Henry Howe dog and going to an elderly couple in Northern VA. He is 5 1/2 and very sweet. If you got to the greyhound data site and put in his race name in you will see he had a very impressive career. He was a grade A and Stake racer. He is a serious lover. And the odd part is that he loves to fetch! He will chase a ball, grab it and run it back to drop it at your feet! It is quite neat. We are hoping to take him to Petsmart today to see how he does on the leash. We have to get new gifts for my sister's dogs for we can take him on the journey! He is getting along very well and seems to love living in a home.
He has even found toys! And this is him returning a toy to Jason yesterday. And as far as I know, Jack is doing well in his new home.

Jason and I also went out to eat last night..with all the greyhound things going on we rarely get to hang out together. So we found a new restaurant and had a very nice dinner. We even got a lesson in Italian wines! Now I want to go to Italy! But then we went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden's winter fest of lights. It was neat. Not particularly worth 10 dollars a piece..but still nice. Oh and it was florida boy did not have as much fun as I did. I am goign toput more pictures in my album. And remember that my camera sucks at night (hence getting a new camera!) and these are the best pictures..but they are fun! Christmas is next week! We will be leaving on Thursday to visit family for a week. Merry Christmas!!!!
