Pass the dip

I think by now everyone is aware that we were always on the lookout for the next greyhound. I have waivered between a big boy and a little female. Jason has wanted a gh that will lay in his lap and snuggle with him like Stella does with Gyeong. We had decided about a year ago that we wouldn't actively look but through fostering..it would one day come. Our requirements were small, loving, loads of personality, willing to lay in laps and I prefered the dark brindles...getting the idea?
When Beth arrived..it was obvious something was different about her. We couldn't keep her out of our laps and she truely wants to be there. She is stubborn and has a lot of attitude but isn't overbearing. After 15+ fosters..we had never come across one quite like her. And all my friends, without prompting, gushed over how well she fit and how much she adored us. So when we were told she was getting adopted tomorrow...we couldn't let her go.
So meet the newest member of the Stumpf family.. Cali.
She is named Cali b/c tomorrow is our 2 year wedding anniversary and we got married in Napa Valley, California. And since she is technically an anniversary present, we decided to name her after the fine state in which we were wed. She has already gotten used to us not dragging her off the couch.
And is right at home in a lap...she will put herself there if you don't put her there yourself.
We are watching Ana and Blue for Amanda and Kenney so they were romping with the tennis ball this afternoon. She is incredibly fast and VERY spunky for a four year old.
She is very pretty and weighs less than 55 lbs. We are very excited to have finally found the right one...we are still fostering. No worries on that one..she has way too much energy for Dana and Shiloh alone.
I knew I would fail one day (we definitely told everyone we knew we would)..it was just a matter of the right one coming around.
Damn Lay's potato chips.....

jason looks like he's aware that you knew of another woman on his lap, but cali looks like she feels busted. oooh, she'll move in on your man! the hand that rocks the cradle.

you have to have more lap posts of her. those will be brilliant. such a tart, and jason looks so happy. now to get gyeong to get a photo of you and cali on jason's lap.

Cali is such a cutie. Loads of personality. Something about a girl that likes to sit in your lap :) With Cali and Stella, we can have group lap pictures. Maybe Stanley's nickname can be 'Vegas'.

kenney and i are so happy you and jason decided to keep cali... there definitely is something special about her- we could tell from the very start. we didn't want to get too stuck on her since we weren't sure she would be around long, but we are so happy you guys decided to take the plunge again and adopt her. she is such a sweetheart! we can't wait to get to know her better!!

Cali sure is a keeper! There is nothing like the lap snuggle to seal the deal. She looks like she would get on well with my Snork!

We are glad you found your lap girl! I know that if we ever fostered we would be failures!! We would have to get a bigger boat though! HA! Good luck with your new grey! She seems to already be settled in! And such a cutie! I like the brindles too.. maybe someday....

Cali is adorable! And you'll get a great workout too...you know, walking around with her attached to your leg.
